"without labor, neither knowledge nor wisdom can accomplish much"
I am Jared Rode, the primary Agriculture Mechanics instructor for the Agriscience Magnet Program at James Madison High School. My goal is to provide my students with every opportunity to develop their craftsmanship, scholarship, and social skills under my instruction.
I earned my Bachelor of Agriculture Science from Texas A&M University as well as three Associate of Applied Science degrees from Texas State Technical College. I have worked for American Smelting and Refining Company and also for Cummins Southern Plains LTD as as a Heavy Truck Technician. I found fulfillment in teaching others and have pursued that career ever since. I hold my students to the same professional standards of any employer:
Students are expected to report to class on time and to maintain a professional environment with their peers. Students are to accept that they have many responsibilities as a student and that they are expected to perform those duties. I expect honesty from every student to each other and above all to me. Most importantly, students are to show respect to everyone who enters through our doors regardless of their position, age, or disposition. |
